We had a great experience here across three visits with our 11 year old cat who experienced sudden blindness. Dr Baker and Dr Walsh were compassionate yet honest and they and the staff were so gentle with our kitty. Of course, it is expensive, but I didn't think it was outrageously so, nor did they push ultra expensive diagnostic methods in a guilt-tripping sort of way, as I have experienced elsewhere at times.

I am thrilled we were referred to Animal Eye Care Center. From the appointment, till the day the cone of shame and stitches were removed, our expectations of an exceptional experience were exceeded by everyone in this office! The staff is professional, competent, communicative, responsive, and accommodating. Dr Baker assessed the issues, and Dr Smith preformed delicate procedures perfectly in both eyes and now healed completely. His post opp plan went above and beyond. During surgery, Dr Smith noticed our dog had another area of concern ( not the eyes) while she was under which he addressed unexpectedly. Their resident Dr Walsh was fantastic, and added the most calming presence during exams. It’s nerve racking when your “baby” is not 100 percent. Trust me… count on this team to show up for you - it’s old school where caring and honoring are part of their DNA. Highly recommend!

Dr. Smith is just exceptional. He took his time to explain some complicated eye issues and our options - even drawing things so I understood clearly. Dr. Smith as a wonderfully calm presence. I have all the confidence in the world that he will take the best care of my boy’s eyes when we have surgery soon. I traveled over an hour to see Dr. smith and will gladly do so again.

I had a lot of faith and hope that they would help my cat due to a previous good experience, but unfortunately, they just wanted my money instead. Dr. Amy Baker did nothing to help my cat with cloudy eyes. She did some tests, told me it could be nothing or it could be something as serious as cancer. Her only suggestion was to go back to the regular vet for blood work. My cat was “diagnosed” with anterior uveitis (just inflammation of the anterior chamber of the eye), and even though Dr. Baker had no clue what was causing this, I was sent home with 3 different types of drops to find out none of them helped at all. The corticosteroid drop actually made my cat’s eyes worse. One of them (Vetrix) is basically a supplement and it was $93. I was not told this until after they reconstituted the medicine and after I paid. They told me I couldn’t return it which I demanded a refund over and finally they said they “gave it to me by accident” and refunded me. Very poor professionalism and practice. They think they can get away with no transparency about their prices. Pet owners need to start turning away their $500 appointments. When I returned to my regular vet, she reviewed the discharge summary and told me to not see Dr. Baker again after the poor care she provided.
